DIY Leak Test

Use the DIY Leak Test to find clues leading to a wide range of leak sources.

High water bill?

A high water bill can be caused from a leak of different kinds ranging from pool leaks, slab leaks, irrigation leaks and leaking fixtures inside your home.

Meter check: Checking the water meter will help determine if you have a constant leak or an inconsistent leak such as a toilet.

If the sensitive dial on you water meter is constantly turning then you have a pressurized leak.

If your meter is not turning constantly then you could have a leaking toilet or a break in your irrigation system.

If you have a good working ball valve for the house and or the irrigation this will help determine where the leak may be.

If shutting off the house stops the meter from moving then your leak is inside the home.

Check all toilets for water movement. Any hot spots on the floor is a concern of a hot slab leak.

A sudden spike in the gas bill is also an indication of a hot slab leak.
